From opening an account to publishing your first character card, this guide walks you through the core Huayu AI workflow end-to-end. We recommend reading the chapters in order — each one takes about 2–3 minutes.

1. Quick start

Visit the Huayu AI platform and sign up with an email, phone number or third-party account. New users automatically receive a welcome pack with free chat credits and a character card publishing quota.

  1. Click "Try Now" to open the sign-in page
  2. Choose your sign-in method and complete verification
  3. Set your avatar, display name and preferred genre tags
  4. Claim the new-user pack and start your first conversation

2. Browsing characters

After signing in, you'll land on the "Explore" homepage. There are three main ways to discover characters you'll love:

  • Leaderboards: daily, weekly and monthly rankings refresh in real time
  • Genres: fantasy, wuxia, sci-fi, mystery, school, adventure and more
  • Search: pinpoint characters by keyword, author or tag

Click any character card to open the detail page, where you can read the author's intro, a world-building summary, user comments and recommended related characters.

3. Immersive chat

Tap "Start chatting" to enter the immersive conversation view. In your first message, we recommend briefly stating your role and the scene — the AI will use it to tune its tone and how it addresses you.

Handy tips

  • Use commands like /narration and /action to weave in scene descriptions
  • Not happy with a reply? Tap regenerate or edit to continue
  • In long stories, use "Bookmarks" to mark pivotal beats so you can jump back easily
  • The "Memory" panel in the top-right shows the world-building summary the AI currently has in context

4. Creating a character card

Go to "Creator Center → New character" to open the visual form. The first time you create a character, we suggest filling in these core fields:

  1. Basics: name, gender, age, role and appearance
  2. Personality: 3–5 keywords that capture their vibe
  3. World: era, location and key events
  4. Opening line: the first message that sets the tone
  5. Triggers: rules that shape reactions in special scenes
Before saving, run 5–10 rounds through "Preview chat" and only then decide whether to publish to the gallery.

5. Switching models

Huayu AI integrates leading models including Claude, Gemini and DeepSeek, and more will be added over time.

  • Claude: great with long text, literary description and emotional depth
  • Gemini: fast, steady in reasoning, ideal for long-running plots
  • DeepSeek: natural conversational voice, perfect for everyday and community themes

Tap the model badge in the top-right corner of the chat page to switch instantly — no need to restart the session.

6. Cross-device sync

Your account syncs progress automatically across web, mini-program and app. We use incremental sync with conflict-merge logic — when you edit the same character card on multiple devices, the system merges by timestamp and keeps the latest result. If a conflict occurs, you can roll back from "Version history".

7. Creator rewards

Once you publish work and complete basic verification, your content automatically enters the rewards pool. The system scores across four dimensions:

  • Reading time / engagement depth
  • Save rate / completion rate
  • Community interaction (comments and likes)
  • Originality and ongoing updates

Points can be redeemed for creator packs, cash payouts or featured placements, and are settled monthly. Full rules are in the Creator Center's "Rewards handbook".
